BASEBALL

Kindergarten/First Grade: Youth baseball, Game scores will be kept but standings will not.  There are no playoffs. The first half of the season will be t-ball, and the second half othe season, the coaches will pitch.

2^nd– 3^rd Grade:  Youth baseball, played on a 42’-60’ diamond.  Coaches will pitch at the beginning of the season, with players taking over pitching as the season progresses.  No stealing or leading permitted.  Coaches still focus on instruction but the competitive element increases over the Tee Ball division.  No coaches are allowed on the playing field during the game.

Junior Girls: Youth softball, played on a softball field.  Coaches will pitch for the entirety of the games. No stealing or leading permitted.  Coaches still focus on instruction but the competitive element increases over the Tee Ball division. No coaches are allowed on the playing field during the game.

Middle Girls: Youth softball. Players pitch exclusively.

4^th-5^th Grade:  Youth baseball on a 46’-60’ diamond.  Players pitch exclusively.  Stealing is permitted, subject to limitations.

6^th-7^th Grade:  Intermediate baseball, played on a 50’-70’ diamond.  Players pitch exclusively.  Leading and stealing are permitted.

8^th Grade:  Subject to sufficient enrollment, 8^th Graders will play in a travel baseball league on a regulation 60’-90’ diamond.  If enrollment does not allow for an internal recreational league, one or more teams will be formed to compete in a local or regional travel league, and any player who does not qualify for a travel team may opt to join the 6^th-7^th Grade Division subject to league approval.
